ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Design Release Engineer to join our engineering team in Windsor, Ontario (Hybrid). The role focuses on design release, driveline systems, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead validation plans, work with CAE/NVH/durability teams, perform root-cause analysis, and help establish DFMEA/DVP practices to ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of transmissions, driveline systems and components.
• Collaborate with CAE, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics, packaging and manufacturing teams.
• Develop and execute validation plans including bench and vehicle testing to verify performance and durability.
• Identify and resolve technical issues through root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
• Create, implement and manage engineering best practices, including DFMEA and DVP documentation for driveline systems.

What's the Job?

• Lead the design and development of transmissions, driveline systems, and components
• Collaborate closely with teams such as CAE, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics, packaging, and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
• Develop and execute validation plans, including component/system bench and vehicle testing, to verify performance and durability
• Identify and resolve technical issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
• Create, implement, and manage engineering best practices, including core DFMEA and DVP documentation for driveline systems

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, focusing on transmissions and driveline systems
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues and optimize designs
• Knowledge of transmissions and driveline components such as Power Transfer Units, Rear Drive Modules, Gears, Bearings, and Torque Converters
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset
