DIRECTIONAL DRILLER – VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT ALBERTA AND SASKATCHEWAN

Directional Drilling (DD) Field Consultants provide a professional approach to customer service, and oversee directional drilling operations at the rig site. Looking for local residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan with Directional Drilling experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operation of equipment in accordance to Cathedral Energy Services execution plans, guidelines, and established operating limits
  • Troubleshoot operational problems and seek corrective actions
  • Completion of daily operation reports and run summary reports
  • Attend pre job safety meeting with rig crews and with new crews on site as well progresses
  • Oversee the drilling process so that the desired directional well path and target objectives are achieved
  • Control well bore paths, figuring survey computations, bit hydraulics, rate of penetration, and bottom hole assemblies
  • Maintain a complete listing of all directional tools, survey equipment on location and days on location
  • Available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years Directional Drilling field experience
  • Hands on experience in field operations as a Directional Driller performing drilling horizontal and directional oil and gas wells
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and display a strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work in a safety sensitive environment and comply with pre-access and site specific health & safety requirements
  • Fitness for Work Testing
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts (including nights) and be away from home for extended periods of time
