Job summary

AKITA Drilling Canada is seeking Motorhands to join their onshore drilling operations in Nisku, AB. This role suits candidates with mechanical aptitude who enjoy hands-on maintenance and repair of drilling equipment on the rig floor, ensuring uninterrupted operation and safety on site.

You will work closely with the Derrick Hand and Driller, verifying that all gear runs reliably and safely, assisting with equipment setup and troubleshooting during drilling activities, and contributing to

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• H2S Alive certification is required.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Confined Space certification is required.
• Common Safety Orientation - ESC is required.
• Previous experience as a Motorhand is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair drilling equipment on the rig floor.
• Assist with operations and support the Derrick Hand and Driller.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and safe to operate.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe worksite.
