The Salvation Army Thrift Store – National Recycling Operations (NRO) in Langley, BC is seeking a casual/relief Distribution Utility. You will assist in reclaiming, processing and distributing donated goods, while following safety procedures and delivering customer-focused service in a fast-paced community setting.

This on-site role emphasizes relationship-building, practical teamwork, and ongoing self-development to become an expert in your area.

Job Description

This is a casual/relief/on call (seasonal) position.

As a Distribution Utility you will:

• Assist in the efficient and effective reclamation, processing and/or distribution of goods and donations.
• The incumbent will be knowledgeable of and strictly follow all legislative safety procedures.
• Customer focused, can maintain their composure, and has the ability to communicate and build relationships.
• In doing so, the candidate will be action oriented, drive results, and will stride to become an expert in their role through continuous self-development and learning.
• Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion.

Compensation

Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $21.86 to $23.79 with a maximum of $25.72. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
