Job Description

Fraser Valley Refrigeration is looking for an organized and well-versed AutoCAD Draftsperson to create CAD models for our clients. The successful candidate will complete individual drawings such as P&IDs, layout drawings, electricals, and full project sets as per project manager’s preliminary sketches.

Overview

Our company has four departments: Ammonia refrigeration, Freon refrigeration, HVAC, and Service, all located at 26121 Fraser Highway. We serve a wide range of clients, from large process cooling plants to family-owned businesses throughout the Lower Mainland. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and excellent customer service skills, always going above and beyond.

Responsibilities :

• Use CAD software to develop 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers and clients.
• Manage time effectively to complete error-free work within deadlines.
• Develop product designs from scratch.
• Present rough design drafts for client approval to project managers, verify drawings are correct, and implement feedback as needed.
• Update existing drawings.
• Demonstrate excellent technical design skills.
• Maintain good communication skills.
• Pay keen attention to design aesthetics and detail.

Requirements :

• Availability Monday to Friday.
• Previous experience using AutoCAD software and general computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Experience in refrigeration drafting is an asset but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and development process by creating accurate and detailed technical drawings. Your expertise in CAD software and drafting principles will contribute to the successful completion of projects. You will work alongside a senior draftsperson who maintains a library of standard drawing templates that may be used.

Compensation : $28-33/hour based on experience.

Job Type : Full-time.

Pay : $28.00-$33.00 per hour.

Expected hours : 40 per week.

Additional pay :

• Overtime pay.

Schedule :

• 8-hour shift.
• Monday to Friday.

Experience :

• AutoCAD: 3 years (preferred).
• Drafting: 5 years (preferred).
