Job summary

Topmade Plastics & Neon Signs is seeking a drafting and design professional to read blueprints, develop design sketches, and coordinate production for print, AV, or digital materials at our Calgary location. You will work with clients, engineers, and production teams to ensure designs meet requirements and client objectives.

Proficiency in image editing, MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and Corel Draw is valued.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints to determine work requirements
• Develop and prepare design sketches
• Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements
• Review the graphic designer's instructions
• Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication
• Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
• Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements
• Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides
• Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials
• Co-ordinate sub-contracting
• Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations
• Work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Adapt existing illustrations
