Job summary

Domtar is seeking a skilled Millwright (NOC 72400) to join our maintenance team across multiple Ontario locations, including Thunder Bay and Atikokan. The role is full-time with a rotation schedule and involves hands-on repair, preventive maintenance, and setup of mill equipment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of professional experience, and fluent English (spoken and written). The position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Execute preventative maintenance on sawmill equipment, hydraulic systems, conveyors and pumps.
• Install, maintain and replace hydraulic pump components, filters, coolers, belts and conveyors.
• Overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Write maintenance and job-specific reports and draft assembly drawings.

Tasks :

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all sawmill equipment, hydraulic systems, conveyors, and pumps.
• Install, maintain and replace hydrodynamic pump components, primary filters and coolers, power transmission belts and conveyor components.
• Overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Write maintenance and job-specific reports, draw or sketch assembly and components parts.
