Job summary

The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association is seeking a Domestic Support Worker to assist with housekeeping at Star Blanket Reserve. This casual role offers 12 hours per week with weekday preferences and requires commuting from Fort Qu'Appelle.

You will perform cleaning, laundry, and organization tasks, maintain a safe home environment, and work independently with good time management. Reliability and attention to detail are essential in supporting children in care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Criminal Record Check (inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Understanding of safety practices when using cleaning agents.
• Previous job experience in house cleaning, commercial property cleaning, or hotel cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the home.
• Manage kitchen duties, including sanitizing countertops, cupboards, tables, and chairs, and organizing within cupboards, pantry, and refrigerator.
• Clean and maintain kitchen appliances, such as cooking ranges, dishwashers, and microwaves.
• Empty waste bins and garbage cans.
• Dust living areas, including window blinds and interior windows.
• Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and sinks.
• Sanitize common surfaces throughout the home, including door handles, baseboards, and walls.
• Wash, fold, and put away laundry.
• Accurately document tasks completed.

Position Overview:
As a Domestic Support Worker, you will play an integral role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe home environment. You will be responsible for performing various housekeeping tasks, ensuring that all areas of the home are well-maintained and organized.
