We are recruiting experienced Domestic Electricians qualified to:

• 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent electrician qualification)
• BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations for 18th Edition
• 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification (ideally)

Gilmartins work in social housing and provide reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in social housing.

The role involves work and travel across Bournemouth, Portsmouth, and Southampton. Properties for this well-known Housing Association are located throughout these areas, requiring regular travel.

Gilmartins is a family-owned business; our staff are valued, and we promote from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools themselves, ensuring a hands-on understanding of our work.

Responsibilities for the Electrician include:

• Carrying out property repairs and maintenance works in social housing
• Working to the Scope of Works on PDA for each job

Requirements for the role:

• Full UK manual driving license (not EU license, not automatic)
• Own tools
• Fully qualified with copies of certificates
• Experience in social housing
• DBS certificate
• ECS card (ideally)

Hours of work are 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, with call-outs approximately once every 4 weeks.

On-call duty from Monday to Sunday, 5pm to 1am, with a payment of £35-£50 per call-out.
