Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Concordia University

Fully-funded PhD student position(s) in neurotechnology - deep learning with functional neuroimaging data; neurofeedback virtual reality

Starting date: Sep 2025 or Jan 2026

Responsibilities

Conducting research in the field of neurotechnology, with topics on deep learning with functional neuroimaging data and neurofeedback virtual reality.

Qualifications

Deep learning with functional neuroimaging data:

  • Hold a MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering. Very strong BSc holders will also be considered.
  • Experience with EEG, functional MRI, and neuroimage processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous publications in the relevant fields in high-impact venues is a plus.
  • Experience with bio-signal processing (e.g., EEG).
  • Experience with virtual reality software development (C++/C#, Unity/Unreal).
