Overview

Job Description Unloads freight from inbound trailers and loads outbound trailers using the handheld scanner, as well as staging overflow freight for pickup by linehaul drivers at night as required. Distributes freight to local P&D Drivers. Mark materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed (on handheld device). Counts and weighs items to ensure conformance to the shipper's bill of lading. Starts heaters on trailers, properplacards to trailers as required. Arrange freight in a specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer space. Operate a forklift to transport stored items from the dock warehouse to the trailer. Must take an active role in the safety and maintenance of the warehouse by sweeping the floor, properly storing dunnage, etc.

Typical Hours will be 1100hrs - 2000hrs Split shift Monday mornings to unload LTL (5 AM start typical)
