Manitoulin Transport is seeking a Dock Worker to load/unload freight, operate a dimensioner and handheld device, and assist drivers on busy docks. The role requires at least two years of forklift experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Strong teamwork and the ability to work under pressure are essential. We offer competitive hourly wages with shift premiums for night and weekend shifts, plus benefits including disability coverage and a profit-sharing program.

Formación

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of forklift experience.
• Must be punctual and have good attendance.
• Cross-dock experience preferred.
• Able to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitive.
• Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully.

Responsabilidades

• Load and unload different types of freight from/to different trailers or stage it on the dock using our electronic handheld device.
• Use handheld device to note any exceptions - shortages/overages/damages/no bills.
• Cube and/or reweigh freight as necessary using Dimensioner machine or manually when required.
• Assist co-workers and drivers in loading, unloading or finding freight.
• Start heaters, placard trailers as required.
• Load freight in specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer space and take pictures per procedure.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Compensation: CAD 23.98 - CAD 26.94 - hourly
