Job Description
  • Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm
  • Load and unload different types of freight from/to trailers or stage it on the dock with a forklift using our electronic handheld device.
  • Use handheld devices to note any exceptions such as shortages, overages, damages, or missing bills.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Cube and/or reweigh materials as necessary using a dimensioner machine or manually when required.
  • Assist co-workers and drivers in loading, unloading, or locating freight.
  • Start heaters, and placard trailers as required.
  • Arrange freight in a specified sequence for maximum trailer space utilization and take pictures as per procedure.
  • Participate actively in safety and warehouse maintenance, including sweeping the floor and proper storage of dunnage.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have previous forklift experience
  • Must be punctual and maintain good attendance.
  • Cross dock experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitively.
  • Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully.
  • Developed problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and judgment skills.
  • G license and own transportation are preferred.
  • Willing to train the right applicant.
