Job Description
- Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm
- Load and unload different types of freight from/to trailers or stage it on the dock with a forklift using our electronic handheld device.
- Use handheld devices to note any exceptions such as shortages, overages, damages, or missing bills.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Cube and/or reweigh materials as necessary using a dimensioner machine or manually when required.
- Assist co-workers and drivers in loading, unloading, or locating freight.
- Start heaters, and placard trailers as required.
- Arrange freight in a specified sequence for maximum trailer space utilization and take pictures as per procedure.
- Participate actively in safety and warehouse maintenance, including sweeping the floor and proper storage of dunnage.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Must be punctual and maintain good attendance.
- Cross dock experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitively.
- Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully.
- Developed problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and judgment skills.
- G license and own transportation are preferred.
- Willing to train the right applicant.
