Job summary

Manitoulin Transport in Ontario is seeking a Dock Worker to start at 2:00 AM, with great wages and full-time hours. You will operate a forklift to load and unload inbound and outbound trailers and assist customers with freight pickups and drop-offs while maintaining a clean, safe dock environment.

You must have forklift experience, be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift on a busy dock.
• Ability to document OS&D and maintain accurate records.
• Experience in warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to load and unload trailers.
• Load and unload freight from P&D units.
• Document OS&D per company procedures.
• Reweigh and cube freight as required.
• Keep dock and yard clean, safe and organized.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed.
• Assist customers with freight pickups and drop-offs.
• Perform general dock and trailer cleaning.
• Be flexible for afternoon/night shifts.
• Demonstrate safety certifications beyond forklift.
• Communicate professionally with customers.

Dock Worker 2:00 AM Start & Great Wages!

• Compensation: CAD 23.98 - CAD 26.94 - hourly

Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load and unload inbound and outbound trailers.

Load and unload freight from local Pickup and Delivery (P&D) units.

Accurately document any overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) in accordance with company procedures.

Reweigh and cube freight as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock and yard area, ensuring it is free of debris.

Perform some heavy lifting as needed to move and handle freight.

Assist customers with freight pick-ups and drop-offs in a professional and courteous manner.

Perform general cleaning duties for the dock and trailers.

Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Demonstrate flexibility to work afternoon and night shifts when operational needs require.

Proven experience operating a forklift.

Excellent punctuality and attendance are an asset.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with customers.
