Job summary

Lime is seeking a Dock Installation and Field Mechanic in Victoria, BC to maintain and install docks and support daily field operations for our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined operations professionals looking to grow in a dynamic mobility company.

You will install docks, operate tools, perform basic repairs, monitor parking zones, and assist riders and staff in the field while following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver license and good driving record.
• Experience in a similar role involving vehicle or dock maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs / 45 kg frequently required.
• Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks.
• A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members.
• Adaptability to work outdoors and indoors.
• Ability to safely ride a bike and other Lime vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble docks with training and supervision by the Operations leader.
• Safely operate tools and machinery to position and fasten materials onto docks.
• Conduct regular quality checks and basic maintenance of installed docks and fleet vehicles.
• May perform small repairs in the field on Lime vehicles and docks.
• Monitor designated zones to ensure vehicle parking compliance and tidiness.
• Detect and report safety hazards in the field as needed.
• Occasionally assist customers in field by providing support related to Lime products.
• Follow established safety procedures to ensure rider and staff safety.
• Wear all required PPE including safety vest, glasses, steel toe caps, and gloves.
• Safely operate a van to deploy/retrieve Lime vehicles; ride bikes/e-scooters as needed.
• Operate a pallet jack or push cart frequently.
• Perform additional job related tasks as assigned

We are looking for a Dock Installation and Field Mechanic to maintain and install docks and support daily field operations for our fleet of shared vehicles. What you’ll do:

• Install and assemble docks with training and supervision by the Operations leader

• Safely operate tools and machinery to position and fasten required materials onto docks, ensuring proper assembly

• Conduct regular quality checks and basic maintenance of installed docks and fleet vehicles to ensure operational compliance

• May perform small repairs in the field on Lime vehicles and docks, including brake adjustments, tire inflation, and cleaning

• Monitor designated zones to ensure vehicle parking compliance and tidiness

• Detect and report uncommon situations related to on the ground service and product including any safety hazards in the field as needed

• Occasionally assist customers in field by providing support related to Lime products

• Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders, staff, and community members are safe

• Will wear all required PPE including safety vest, glasses, steel shoe caps, and gloves

• Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed

• Safely operate a bike, cargo bike or e-scooters to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed

• Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart on a frequent basis

• Additional job related tasks as assigned

About you:
