We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Calgary-based team. This role is ideal for a professional in the early to mid-stage of their career who brings a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis. The successful candidate will support strategic decision-making through in-depth financial insights, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The position offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

The Business Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring effective monitoring, analysis, and enhancement of financial performance and strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Division Controller, Business Lines, and other key stakeholders from operations to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial and operational data to support business decisions and cost optimization initiatives
  • Work closely with accounting and finance teams to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
  • Leverage SAP to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analysis
  • Design and maintain Excel models to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to streamline processes and improve data accuracy
  • Support the preparation of business cases, dashboards, and performance reports
  • Adapt to high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines as needed
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis, or business analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Hands-on experience with SAP
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
