Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a skilled administrative professional to support the Research Development and Innovation team in Saskatoon. In this role, you will manage various administrative tasks, assist with budget tracking, and coordinate important documentation and processes to help the team achieve its goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and be adept at managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of administrative experience providing support to senior leaders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Experience with SAP is a bonus.

This position is required to be onsite and is located in Saskatoon Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Senior Director Seed Breeding and Innovation this individual contributor role is responsible for providing high level support to assist team members in meeting their goals and objectives.

What you will do :

  • Assist with the Research Development andInnovation budget administration and preparation. Budget tracking reporting follow up as required.
  • Maintain capital acquisition tracking for assigned product lines.
  • Assist management team members with maintaining awareness of company policies and procedures to aid in effective knowledge transfer throughout the team.
  • CoordinateSRED claim applications with Tax group and Research managers to maximize claims.
  • In an SAP environment responsible for Vendor setup ordering supplies receiving shipments accounts payable accounts receivable and coordinate orders for the RD&I group.
  • Provideguidance and coding assistance on Emburse Enterprise expense reporting system.
  • Ensure the team is current on Nutriens Modern Workplace to help drive efficiency. This may include but is not limited to creating and maintain SharePoint sites and administration of various Microsoft Teams.
  • As needed support hiring managers with site specific needs (badge access technology tools and orientation scheduling) for new and rehired employees.
  • Responsible for the FedEx / Purolator and cargo shipping accounts and manages relationship with couriers including negotiating discounts and liaising with them on different services (ie : freight). Supports international shipping and receiving of seed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a complete and accurate repository of current Research and Development Contracts.
  • Coordinateland lease agreement completion and cooperator payment (in Canada and Chile).
  • Coordinate vehicle registration renewals.
  • Ensure business equipment is maintained and repairs completed in a timely manner.
  • Manages cell phone and iPad contracts and orders new devices as required.
  • Coordinates travel bookings (flights and accommodation) through Nutrien travel portal as required.
  • Coordinates / tracks facility access (electronic access cards) and parking permits for all staff.
  • Coordinates rental of seasonal equipment for field sites.
  • Identify catalogue and monitor requirements for reports meetings decisions and analysis.
  • Maintain a calendar of Contract activities (schedule of dates for milestones key deliverables meetings reports invoice delivery in coordination with project teams).
  • Maintains and develops knowledge and skills in vendor management practices and provides direction with respect to purchasing strategies.
  • Assist with Safety Health & Environment administration and development of training schedules.

What you will bring :

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate is required.
  • 7 years of previous experience in an administrative role providing clerical support to senior level leaders is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize competing activities to meet deadlines.
  • Organizational skills to assist multiple employees simultaneously with a variety of basic and complex tasks.
  • Competent in working with internal and external stakeholders at various levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated diligence to complete work tasks with minimal errors.
  • Able to exercise adaptability to adjust priorities at a moments notice.
  • Skilled in exercising sound judgment when working with sensitive information.
  • Previous experience with SAP is a bonus.
