Job summary

Association for New Canadians NL is seeking a Diversity Shadow Project (DSP) Program Manager to lead a three-year settlement initiative in St. John's, NL.

The role focuses on inclusive support for newcomers, coordinating planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement, and turning input into practical service improvements. The role requires strong project management, equity and trauma-informed practices, and experience with evaluation, data collection and reporting.

Qualifications

• Relevant post-secondary education in social sciences, education or related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing community, settlement, equity, inclusion, or capacity-building projects and working with newcomers and partners.
• Strong project management, budgeting and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, partnership-building and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of equity, inclusion, accessibility, and trauma-informed practices.
• Experience with evaluation, data collection and continuous improvement.
• Strong judgment regarding privacy, confidentiality and financial accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead DSP work plan, budget, timelines, risks, deliverables and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with ANC policies, funding requirements and privacy standards.
• Maintain accurate project records and coordinate resources.
• Establish an Advisory Committee and engage newcomers and partners to identify gaps.
• Develop and deliver staff training and practical resources.
• Track activities and outcomes and turn findings into service improvements.
• Build relationships with newcomers, staff, partners and IRCC; represent ANC.
