Job details

Position Summary: The Automotive BDC Manager oversees the daily operations of the dealership's Business Development Center. This role is responsible for managing the BDC, optimizing lead response times, improving customer engagement, and increasing appointment show rates for both sales and service departments. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, data-driven, and has a solid understanding of automotive sales processes and CRM tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, coach, and manage BDC representatives to achieve performance and productivity goals.
  2. Oversee inbound and outbound customer communications (phone, email, text, chat) to generate qualified sales and service appointments.
  3. Monitor CRM usage, lead response times, follow-up processes, and appointment confirmations.
  4. Develop and implement scripts, processes, and best practices for lead handling and customer interactions.
  5. Track and report on BDC metrics including lead conversion rates, appointment set/show ratios, and customer satisfaction.
  6. Collaborate with the Sales, Service, and Marketing departments to coordinate campaigns and promotions.
  7. Train new team members and provide ongoing support and development for current staff.
  8. Handle escalated customer inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Ensure the BDC operates in alignment with dealership goals and OEM expectations.
  10. Make 2-day follow-up phone calls daily.
  11. Other related duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a dealership BDC or call center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM software (e.g., CDK, 180 TMS, ECT).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
