Overview
Reliance Foundry is looking for a dynamic Sourcing Manager to join our global supply chain team. This is a strategic role within the Global Supply Chain, reporting to the Director of Operations and Supply Chain. The position emphasizes identifying and evaluating global vendors, negotiating terms, and defining a strategic sourcing strategy to support end-to-end procurement and supplier integration.
What you’ll own & influence
- Global Sourcing & Commercial Strategy: lead identification, evaluation, and qualification of global vendors; guide the RFQ process to secure optimal FOB costs; calculate landed costs; collaborate on pricing proposals for market competitiveness and profitability.
- Negotiation: negotiate prices, contracts, and shipping terms to achieve cost-effective procurement and maintain continuous supply.
- Supplier Relationship Management: build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships; monitor performance and resolve disputes; manage supplier risk.
- Supply Chain Optimization: develop and implement sourcing strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness; ensure suppliers meet quality standards through audits and QA practices.
- Risk Mitigation: assess supplier risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Strategic Sourcing: develop long-term sourcing strategies aligned with company goals.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, and Supply Chain to ensure successful vendor integration.
- Team Mentorship: manage and mentor the Sourcing Specialist, providing strategic direction and fostering professional growth.
What you bring to the table
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a similar blended role.
- Proven expertise in full lifecycle of sourcing, including vendor negotiations, RFQ processes, and global supply chain management.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to perform cost analysis and evaluate quotes based on total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities; knowledge of market dynamics and supplier evaluation techniques.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills; demonstrated leadership including mentoring and developing a direct report.
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work across multiple departments; proficiency with strategic analysis tools and advanced Excel for cost modeling.
- Experience with overseas suppliers; languages such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Korean, Turkish, or Spanish are highly valuable.
