In this role you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, advising leaders of various levels, Local DEIB Circles, and other stakeholders on DEIB best practices and strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations to integrate DEIB principles into business operations, policies, and programs.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate high-impact DEIB programs, training, and initiatives to advance organizational learning and awareness.
  • Facilitate bilingual (English and French) DEIB training, events, and initiatives nationally.
  • Develop proposals and toolkits that drive DEIB integration into workplace culture and policies.
  • Manage national DEIB events from concept to execution, including planning logistics, engaging internal and external speakers, managing hybrid and in-person event coordination, and analyzing post-event impact.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase engagement and participation in DEIB initiatives.
  • Provide strategic counsel to Local DEIB Circles, managers, and executives to align regional DEIB initiatives with NAV CANADA’s DEIB Strategy.
  • Support Local DEIB Circles in building sustainable governance models and driving measurable impact.
  • Partner with Strategic Communications to develop compelling DEIB messaging, campaigns, and internal communications with a goal to drive organization-wide awareness and engagement.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary degree in DEIB, Accessibility, Indigenous Studies, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 4+ years of experience designing and implementing DEIB programs, projects, and initiatives in a corporate or large organizational setting.
  • Experience developing impactful, strategic communications related to DEIB.
  • Experience creating and delivering DEIB training and learning initiatives at the corporate level.
  • Fluency in both official languages, with demonstrated experience facilitating English, French, and bilingual awareness and training sessions.
  • Deep knowledge of DEIB principles, frameworks, and best practices in a corporate context.
  • Strong project management, event planning, and corporate communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Canadian federal legislation related to DEIB (e.g., Canadian Human Rights Act, Pay Equity Act, Employment Equity Act, Accessible Canada Act).
