As the District Vice President (DVP), you will lead and drive transformational change within the Saskatchewan South District. Your main focus will be on retail and small business branch teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure high-quality sales activities, deepen customer relationships, and foster engagement and accountability across the branch network. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving financial and non-financial goals, enhancing customer service, optimizing human resource management, and improving operational efficiency.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Lead and manage a team of Branch Managers, providing guidance and support to meet branch objectives.
  2. Develop tactical strategies aligned with the Region and Bank's overall direction to drive business success.
  3. Implement and monitor stretch goals for management, fostering a high-performance culture within the District.
  4. Maintain a strong market profile, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Drive a customer-focused, performance-driven culture, leveraging broader Bank relationships and systems to deepen client relationships and grow profitability.
  6. Coach and manage Branch Managers through regular coaching, skill-building, and sales meetings.
  7. Support regional and Retail Bank strategies using market trends and competitive intelligence.
  8. Act as an escalation point to resolve issues, negotiate, and strengthen partnerships within the Bank Group.
  9. Contribute to improving the Net Promoter Score (NPS) by enhancing the customer experience and collaborating with branch partners.
  10. Lead planning and reporting activities, set goals, and identify improvement trends.
  11. Ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with risk management policies.
  12. Create a high-performance, inclusive work environment that attracts, develops, and retains talent.

  • Thorough knowledge of Canada's financial services market, customer segments, and competitive landscape.
  • Expertise in sales management, with proven influence and motivation skills.
  • A successful track record in team management and achieving results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business.
  • PFP designation or equivalent, or strong financial planning knowledge.
  • 7-10 years in sales and relationship roles, preferably in finance or investment sectors.
  • Exceptional coaching skills, capable of observing behaviors and conducting challenging conversations.
  • Deep knowledge of sales leadership techniques and branch potential development.
  • Strong relationship-building and motivational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Retail and Small Business products, services, and systems.
  • Familiarity with sales management platforms and standard office software.
  • Knowledge of products/services offered by other financial institutions and competitors.
