TEACHING VACANCY : POSTING NO. 49 – JUNE 20, 2025

School : Vanderhoof, BC

Start Date : September 1, 2025

Salary : $60,648 - $114,735 + current provincial recruitment and retention allowance

Assignment : 0.40 Continuing Position

DISTRICT SUBSTITUTE – ASSIGNMENT INCLUDES REGULAR SUBSTITUTE TEACHING WORK IN THE VANDERHOOF AREA

Must have access to reliable transportation. Specific assignment to be determined by the Principal.

On days without teacher replacement work, the successful candidate will report to their home school (to be determined) and will be assigned teacher work at that site by the Principal.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education (Middle or Secondary)
  • Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare
  • Ability to assist students across various curriculum areas at junior/senior levels
  • Ability to develop and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment
  • Experience with inclusive instruction and addressing diverse learning needs
  • Trauma-informed approach in professional practice
  • Knowledge of competency-based assessment strategies
  • Experience in differentiating instruction and integrating technology to enhance learning outcomes
