Job description

Job Title: District Sales Representative

Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the District Sales Representative facilitates order and delivery interactions for foodservice customers while seeking growth opportunities in existing accounts and bringing new customers on board. Acting as a trusted foodservice consultant, you will leverage Gordon Food Service products, solutions, and value-added services to help customers achieve their goals.

This position will service the South Vancouver Island area and must reside in the territory.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Seek opportunities for growth and development for new and existing customers.
  • Manage the profitability of your territory, using Gordon Food Service tools to exceed customer expectations of service, quality, and partnership.
  • Act as a business partner to customer accounts, helping increase their business and providing menu solutions as needed.
  • Promote new products and marketplace trends to customers.
  • Review territory reports to evaluate progress, sales volume, and identify product line targets.
  • Coordinate with your District Sales Manager to ensure consistency of customer contracts and identify opportunities to increase business.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support Center, Marketing, Warehouse, Transportation, and Credit Departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
What We Are Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in food service sales.
  • Proven skills in sales and negotiation.
  • Initiative and results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills and self-motivation.
  • Collaborative and adaptable in high-pressure environments.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing is an asset.
