Job description

Alta Genetics has an immediate opening for a District Sales Manager in Quebec, Canada. This position will work within a team that delivers high-quality genetic products, services, and programs to increase profitability for our clients.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-driven, and has previous consulting or sales experience in the agricultural, farming, or dairy sector.

Position Activities / Duties
  1. Assess producer needs and deliver upon requests.
  2. Promote and sell Alta's genetics, related products, and services to retail accounts.
  3. Provide excellent and efficient service to clients through superior consulting.
  4. Continuously improve our services based on assessments of clients' individual business needs.
  5. Increase Alta's market share through existing customer base and large herd operations.
  6. Educate dairy producers and industry partners on the value of Alta's products and services, as well as the latest reproduction and management technologies.
  7. Promote Alta products and services at local and regional dairy events.
  8. Participate in domestic or corporate projects as requested.
  9. Develop and grow partnerships with customers using Alta Genetics’ consulting sales tools and technology by understanding their needs, demonstrating product value, and seeking solutions to improve profitability.
Qualifications / Requirements
  1. Bilingual in French and English is REQUIRED.
  2. Exceptional customer relations and communication skills.
  3. Willingness to challenge the status quo and encourage innovative ideas and techniques.
  4. Self-starter, results-oriented, and driven to develop win-win solutions.
  5. Prior sales experience is an asset.
  6. In-depth genetic knowledge and familiarity with dairy management software are considered assets.
  7. Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
