Job description

  • Please note this role is preferred to be based out of Vancouver, however will require travel to dealerships in the Pacific and Prairie zone, and thus would require irregular hours for dealer visits etc.**

The incumbent works within Zone operations and acts as a consultant to Honda MCPE dealers in all sales related matters to maximize the brand image, customer satisfaction and lifetime owner loyalty; supporting sales Management and the dealer network with sales and various program targets, Sales plans/performance, and implementing effective strategy to attain district MCPE sales initiatives and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective sales management support to the dealer network by:
    • Attaining the Motorcycle-ATV/Power Equipment & Marine retail sales targets in the assigned territory.
    • Managing appropriate blend of dealership visits and virtual meetings to build a good working relationship.
    • Reviewing monthly and annual sales figures to ensure dealers are maintaining adequate performance and inventory levels.
    • Analyzing dealer situations and developing action plans for areas of concern.
    • Providing direction to increase performance and track action plans.
    • Identify and prospect new dealers and categories for existing dealers within the designated primary market areas assigned, and ensure all dealers are representing Honda to the most recent interior and exterior facility standards.
    • Expand dealer participation in Honda Plus Extended Warranty, Parts Bookings, Apparel Bookings, Email Capture, and Honda-provided Certified Salesperson Training.

  • Perform a variety of administrative functions such as preparing reports and attending meetings such as:
    • Preparing product allocation and sales plans to both National office and dealers.
    • Ensuring the appropriate submission of dealer documents, financial statements, co-op budget requests.
Qualifications

  • Completed university degree or college diploma in business, marketing, or related discipline preferred and or equivalent working experience.
  • Several years’ Experience in powersports or automotive business, managerial, sales, or similar position.
  • Previous wholesale sales experience is valued.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of the Motorcycle/ ATV, Power Equipment and Marine retail and wholesale businesses is required.
  • Valid motorcycle license is valued
  • Must entail good communication, interpersonal, administrative, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must entail basic knowledge of business management (accounting).
  • Must have excellent PC skills with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, MS Teams.
  • Must entail strong presentation and communication skills. Written and verbal.
  • The ability to work irregular hours as required. Weekends may be required to participate in trade shows and events.
  • Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to display initiative, integrity, and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be results-oriented.

The salary range for this job is $94,750.00 – $118,438.00 CAD Annual. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skillset.
