Position Overview

Würth Canada seeks a District Sales Manager, a strategic sales thinker passionate about coaching, managing, and developing a team of Sales Representatives. The manager will oversee a district covering Windsor, London, Kitchener, and Hamilton. The ideal candidate shares our core values—achievement, honesty, integrity, mutual respect, and responsibility—and leads by example to foster a high-performance, values-driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a sales team of 7 representatives across automotive divisions within the district.
  • Develop and implement divisional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue, growth, and profitability targets.
  • Utilize omnichannel strategies to grow the active customer base.
  • Manage sales forecasts and budgets, monitor performance, and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Lead and engage the team, embodying our cultural attributes.
  • Recruit, train, and coach sales representatives.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the district.
  • Support sales training initiatives such as Route Planning & Speedy Touch.
  • Address business challenges proactively with team members and customers.
  • Participate actively in recruiting and performance management processes.
  • Train new Sales Representatives on their responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Knowledge of the specific market and products within the district.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Leadership experience or completion of a talent development program with strong coaching skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective strategies.
  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Sales, or related field.
  • Critical thinking skills, adept at change management and process improvement.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to motivate and influence others.
  • Excellent time management and ability to balance fieldwork with administrative tasks.
  • Negotiation skills, especially with large customers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Self-aware leadership that promotes a high-performance, values-driven culture.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel within the district and nationally, and work outside normal hours as needed.
