Job summary

Acosta Canada Corporation is seeking a District Manager to lead a field sales team across grocery stores within the assigned district. You will coach reps, drive sales growth, and ensure strong retail execution while building relationships with store managers and client partners.

Expect regular field visits, performance-based coaching, and development planning. Responsibilities include translating client priorities into district plans and delivering timely performance reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field sales, retail sales, merchandising, or CPG experience.
• 1+ year of experience leading, coaching, training, or developing sales or retail employees.
• Experience working in grocery stores or retail channels.
• Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned district.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of Field Sales Representatives working in grocery stores.
• Conduct regular field ride-alongs and store visits to observe performance, provide real-time coaching, and reinforce sales and execution standards.
• Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities; monitor progress and hold team members accountable for results.
• Create individual development plans, deliver performance feedback, recognize strong performance, and address performance gaps promptly.
• Support onboarding and training.
• Own district performance against sales, distribution, promotional, display, and execution objectives.
• Translate client strategies and priorities into practical territory and store-level action plans.
• Review performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Maintain a consistent presence in grocery stores throughout the assigned district.
• Evaluate store conditions, product availability, pricing, shelf placement, display compliance, and promotional execution.
• Serve as the primary field leadership contact for assigned client priorities within the district.
• Communicate results, opportunities, and field insights to internal partners and client stakeholders.
