Position Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Richmond branch as a District Operations Manager. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational and safety standards, and managing inventory and warehouse processes. The candidate will be responsible for meeting KPIs and customer service standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain high levels of customer service and safety standards.
  2. Monitor and achieve Divisional KPI benchmarks.
  3. Foster a team culture and continuous improvement.
  4. Train employees on proper processes and procedures.
  5. Review variance and corrective action reports, providing solutions for productivity and service improvements.
  6. Recommend and oversee the purchase of warehouse equipment and machinery.
  7. Conduct quality and safety audits of branch operations.
  8. Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with management to implement corrective actions.
  9. Ensure health and safety measures are followed.
  10. Travel as needed for branch projects and staff coverage.
Qualifications
  1. Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  2. Strong leadership and time management skills.
  3. At least 3 years of experience as a branch Operations Manager or similar role in distribution operations.
  4. Knowledge of Lean and 6S methodologies.
  5. Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  6. Ability to operate reach and lift trucks.
  7. Experience with health and safety practices in a distribution center.
  8. Flexible with travel and branch coverage.
