Job Overview

The District Manager is responsible for leading the Store Operations Team within their district. They are accountable for achieving the established targets and KPI’s such as sales, payroll, customer service and all the supporting performance metrics. They ensure the ongoing training and development of their district team and are responsible for recruitment, selection, and succession planning of the team.

Hours

  • 37.5 hours/week
  • 8:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday (flex options available)
  • Hybrid – 3 days per week required in office

Responsibilities

Operational Execution & Improvement

  • Achieve targets and KPI’s such as but not limited to sales, payroll, customer service and all the supporting performance metrics.
  • Travel to stores regularly, conducting operations audits and ensuring visibility.
  • Manage sales promotions and activities; sales training; and ensure team members practice company selling standards in stores.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of budgets for operational areas such as sales, payroll and all the supporting operational expenses.
  • Execute company asset protection strategies and direction consistently in conjunction with the asset protection team and ensures the District Manager team is actively ensuring all store compliance.
  • Oversee the Store Managers to ensure that they are effective in their role holding store teams accountable to executing company merchandising, marketing and operational directions consistently.

In-Store Merchandising, Marketing & Customer Experience

  • Ensure that all activities related to in store merchandising, marketing and customer experience have been executed in a timely and productive manner and are completed according to the standards as outlined and ensure exceptions or issues with the execution have been proactively communicated to the correct team.

Cross Functional Support

  • Positively identify issues, build plans, communicate solutions and seek alignment to ensure positive forward movement while collaborating with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Effectively handle escalated customer complaints within district and support Store Managers to resolve major issues.

Talent Development & Performance Management

  • Develop and support the leadership of the Store Manager team and ensure the team is actively using Peavey performance management tools to lead, coach and develop their staff consistently with proper documentation, ensuring that any areas of poor performance are addressed in a timely and effective manner through the performance improvement process.

Safety

Follow all Peavey Industries safety policies, procedures, and protocols, report any accidents/incidents, near misses, injuries and concerns to your manager or a health and safety committee representative, and work in a safe manner that ensures the health and safety of themselves and all others on the work site.
