Lammle’s Western Wear is seeking a District Manager for the Alberta region. You will lead and develop a team across multiple stores, align objectives with the company strategy, and drive sales, customer service, and profitability.

  • Coach and motivate store staff to exceed performance expectations.
  • Serve as liaison between Sales & Operations and store management.
  • Lead training, compliance, and policy understanding with HR collaboration.
  • Develop and manage district talent and succession planning.
  • Monitor regional performance and profitability and take corrective actions.
  • Oversee day-to-day district operations consistent with company goals.

Role

The District Manager champions the traditional western values that Lammle’s was founded on. The District Manager is a natural leader who proactively manages and develops their team by establishing clear goals and objectives that align with Lammle’s overall business strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Lammle’s in a professional and positive manner, by making the company mission statement our driving force
  • Functioning as the coach, motivating source, and team leader for the store staff.
  • Function as the liaison between the Director of Sales & Operations and store management
  • Empower, Lead, and challenge all Lammle’s store managers and staff to meet and exceed performance expectations in alignment with the overall company goals
  • Lead company policies and procedures by ensuring training, compliance, and understanding with store managers, in collaboration with HR, if necessary
  • Train, coach, and develop all store managers within the region or district as part of building a high performing sales team
  • Remain current on each store’s performance as it pertains to each division within the company. Enhance the profitability of the stores and the company as a whole
  • Managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the district in a manner consistent with Lammle’s mission and culture, Performance Standards and Beliefs, and operational goals while providing the Lammle’s Experience.
Human Resources Management
  • Ensure proper staff mix at all times and fill Store Manager vacancies within 30 days.
  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing talent for high performing teams
  • Participate and lead in the recruitment process including sourcing, onboarding and development of future leaders
  • Create and maintain a positive team environment where team is passionate about the Performance Culture and achieving operational goals
  • Lead, process and participate in Store Manager Performance Evaluations on an annual basis
  • Maintain open and honest communication with staff in alignment with Lammle’s mission and values
  • Foster a healthy workplace culture
Operational Management
  • Ability to lead teams through company initiatives effectively
  • Operating a profitable district, while contributing to company strategies. Using KPI’s to communicate strategy to improve profitability within the region.
  • Executing all training standards, company programs as per direction.
  • A strong focus on customer service and consistently maintaining customer service levels
  • Ensure accurate inventory control is in place at store level
  • Ensure company materials are available and leveraged
  • Accountability to ensure stores follow proper policy & procedures and company standards by regular check ins and communicating on performance expectations and/or metrics
Merchandise Management
  • Coach and train store staff on merchandise display and presentation consistent with Lammle’s image
  • Communicate and support company promotions
  • Ensure stores are adhering to company direction
  • Provide product knowledge training and coaching to all staff members regulari
  • Promoting and enhancing our company image
  • Ensure displays and presentations are consistent with Lammle’s image.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of Multi-unit Management experience is required
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in leading a team in a retail apparel setting
  • Role may require evenings/weekends as determined by business needs
  • Ability to relocate or support alternate districts would be considered an asset
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
