Job summary

PCL's Montréal district is seeking a District HRPD Coordinator to drive student recruitment, onboarding and HRPD program support within a fast-growing Québec team. You’ll collaborate across HRPD initiatives, researching total rewards and maintaining reporting for district projects.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organization and discretion, with a diploma in HR or related field and a willingness to pursue HR designations. This is a full-time, on-site role in Montréal.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline preferred.
  • Working towards HR designation preferred.
  • Some co‑op/internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently or in a matrixed team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the district’s student program; plan and organize college recruiting activities.
  • Support HRPD recruitment and onboarding for entry-to-mid level roles.
  • Provide admin support to HRPD programs and policy administration.
  • Participate in district HRPD strategic planning; support district initiatives.
  • Assist with research and general admin tasks related to total rewards.
  • Support career management processes and systems.
  • Maintain and prepare scheduled and ad hoc reporting.
  • Coordinate training and facilitation plans across the district.
  • Assist in implementing district HRPD initiatives.

Here’s how a District HRPD Coordinator for Construction PCL Inc. within Montreal contributes to our team:

  • Leads the process for the district’s student program; plans and organizes college recruiting activities, including orientations, events, networking with colleges and universities, managing databases, and coordinating interviews.
  • Provides support to HRPD team in recruiting and on boarding practices (entry-to mid-level positions).
  • Provides administrative support to HRPD programs and policy administration as first point of contact.
  • Participates in district HRPD strategic planning process. Provides support on district-level projects/initiatives as assigned.
  • Assists with research and general administrative support pertaining to total rewards.
  • Provides administrative support for career management process and systems.
  • Maintains and prepares scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Assists with coordination and administration of training and facilitation plans/ programs.
  • Provides implementation support to district HRPD manager on corporate and regional initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Working towards an HR designation preferred.
  • Some co‑op/internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to research and analyze information.
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • Good networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
  • Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
