Job summary

School District No. 22 (Vernon) is seeking a District Early Childhood Educator (ECE) / Special Needs Educator (SNE) to support our early learning facilities. This 32-hour-per-week, 12-month position has a shift to be determined.

The role is unionized under CUPE Local 5523 and requires multiple ECE credentials. Candidates must have Grade 12 plus an ECE program recognized by the ECE Registry, an active ECE Certificate to Practice, 1 year of ECE experience (or 500 supervised hours), a valid first

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus the completion of an ECE training program recognized by the ECE Registry.
• Current Early Childhood Educator's Certificate to Practice from the BC ECE Registry.
• One year of recent ECE experience or 500 hours supervised by a certified ECE.
• Valid Child Safe first aid certificate.
• Clear criminal record check and immunization/TB compliance.
