OXFORD HILLS SCHOOL DISTRICT

TITLE: District Coach / PBIS / Title II

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Maine Department of Education Administrator Certification
  2. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
  3. Formal training in district-level coach training
  4. Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills
  5. Experience implementing PBIS

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools

JOB GOAL: coordination of ESEA Program, including Titles I, IV

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (.5 FTE)

  1. Supports the District’s mission and goals.
  2. Oversees Title II Professional Development (PD) activities and expenditures, ensuring appropriate use of federal funds.
  3. Completes Title II applications and reports as required by Maine DOE.
  4. Conducts a Needs Assessment (at least annually) and analyzes data in order to identify priorities for PD.
  5. Designs and implements district level PD in collaboration with other district leaders and coaches.
  6. Oversees PBIS implementation across the district, providing training and guidance for principals and PBIS teams at each school.
  7. Provides initial training and on-going professional development for school-based coaches (academic and PBIS).
  8. Serves as the Reading Recovery Site Coordinator.
  9. Establishes regular communication with principals, coaches, grade level teachers, and special education teachers regarding researched-based best practices.
  10. Meets with the Curriculum Director, the Special Education Director and the ESEA Program/MTSS Coordinator on a regular basis in order to coordinate the use of district resources related to instruction and student behavior.
  11. Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Superintendent.
