Job Summary

We are looking for a Distribution Manager. As our Distribution Manager, you will:

  • Develop strategic relationships with distribution partners’ account teams to drive business, identify key initiatives, develop project plans, and manage execution.
  • Extract new value from distributor relationships through contract optimization, joint business planning, and partnership activities.
  • Manage monthly forecast activities.
  • Collaborate with Compliance to optimize product availability and propose the most effective routes to market.
  • Seek to reduce logistic costs and improve supply chain efficiencies.
  • Work with the distribution team to develop and monitor all distributor business plans and quarterly reviews.
  • Evaluate ongoing service level requirements and maintain distributor scorecards.
  • Manage escalations of BuySmart inquiries and work to improve distributor service levels.
  • Ensure distributors are current in paying volume allowances.

Qualifications and Success Factors:

  • 2-3 years of management experience in foodservice distribution, category management, or purchasing is strongly preferred. People management experience is encouraged.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Supply Chain or related field of study preferred; significant related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • High proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Supply Chain and Bravo systems is preferred.
  • Strong financial and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including professional presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to create executive summaries for senior leadership.
  • A positive attitude—flexibility, optimism, resourcefulness, and transparency.
