We’re seeking a driven and experienced Distribution Director to lead at one of our key Distribution Centers in the food industry. In this leadership role, you will ensure products are delivered efficiently, safely, and with high quality—keeping shelves stocked and communities served.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of distribution center operations, including health and safety, labor relations, inventory management, sanitation, and maintenance to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient environment.
  • Manage the flow of goods to meet store expectations, ensuring inventory accuracy, minimizing damages, and maintaining product rotation standards.
  • Drive performance by achieving KPIs, controlling costs, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating across departments to enhance processes and improve KPIs annually.
  • Promote network collaboration by sharing and adopting best practices.
  • Oversee operations across multiple shifts, managing staffing, performance, grievances, and union adherence.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering
  • 7+ years management experience in a unionized distribution or logistics environment, with strong union experience
  • Proven experience with automated distribution centers and Continuous Improvement, preferably with Lean Six Sigma training
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office and Distribution Management Systems
