Position Mission :

This position is responsible for staging, shrink wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the stockroom's packing and pulling areas. It includes preparing palletized loads for shipment, ensuring safe transportation or storage by proper balancing and placement of products. Additionally, the role involves assisting with safe pallet building and selecting products for specific routes.

Responsibilities :
  1. Stage products on pallets, shrink wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets onto trucks.
  2. Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
  3. Ensure correct parts are placed on the correct truck, packing the right parts for delivery with accuracy and speed, and organizing the loading of customer orders from skids to trucks.
  4. Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed.
  5. Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
  6. Keep work area clean to prevent accidents and facilitate rapid loading.
  7. Pull stock orders as needed until it's time to load trucks.
  8. Assist with processing other DC shuttles.
  9. Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations while working safely.
  10. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Experience, Education, and Abilities :
  • High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required.
  • Reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
  • Recognize and distinguish letters and numbers visually and aurally, and remember their sequence.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids like hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach shelves (up to 8 feet) using a stool or ladder when necessary.
  • Must be able to get in and out of trucks with parts using a ramp if needed.
  • Stand and walk throughout the entire work shift.

Pay rate: $23.00 per hour.

Work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and outside weather conditions of extreme heat and cold. Noise levels are usually moderate.
