University of Manitoba is seeking a Distance Education Instructor for PSYC 1200 D02 (CUPE 3909 Unit 1) to deliver Introduction to Psychology via online platforms. PSYC 1200, Introduction to Psychology (6 credits):Must have successfully completed, with a grade B+ or better, PSYC 1200, Introduction to Psychology, or its equivalent. Preference may be given to applicants who are, or will be, a registered student studying in the Department which is posting the employment opportunity at the time that the duties of the position commence, have taken workshops on course development/training techniques, and experience as a Distance Education Instructor for this or other related courses, or their equivalents. Supervise and schedule work assignments for Grader/Marker or Teaching Assistant, if assigned. May be required to assess and provide feedback to Department Head regarding administrative responsibilities for student grade appeals, requests for time extensions to complete work, deferred examinations, and other administrative duties that may arise. May be required to attend on campus for an in-person exam.
