Job summary

Nicopoulos Opticians - Optometrists in Montreal is seeking a prescription optician to join our independent clinic. We offer a renovated neighborhood space with 2 exam rooms and an on-site laboratory, and we strive for the highest standards in patient care. The role involves advising customers on glasses and contact lenses, ensuring visual comfort, and coordinating the production of eyewear to meet prescriptions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an optician.
• Technical college diploma (DEC) or equivalent.
• Licensure/registration with the Quebec Order of Dispensing Opticians is required.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers in choosing glasses and contact lenses per the optometrist's prescription.
• Adjust, evaluate and address visual comfort with personalized vision needs.
• Arrange production of glasses/contacts and fabricate spectacle frames as needed.

Nicopoulos Opticians - Optometrists is an independent vision clinic established for over 50 years in the Jean-Talon market area of Montreal.
We are looking for a prescription optician to complete our team! Beautiful, completely renovated neighborhood clinic. We have 2 exam rooms and laboratory on site. Permanent full-time position. Multidisciplinary teamwork aims for the highest standards for the care and visual health of our customers.

Functions related to the position:

• Advise customers in the choice of glasses and contact lenses following the optometrist's prescription.

• Adjust, evaluate and take care of visual comfort by judging precise and personalized needs in terms of vision.

• Make the necessary arrangements for the production of glasses and contact lenses and be able to manufacture spectacle frames.

Requirements:

• Professional experience of 2 years or more as an optician

• Technical college diploma (DEC) or a foreign diploma deemed equivalent

• Permit valid practice and registration on the Roll of the Order of Dispensing Opticians of Quebec.
