Northern Health is seeking a registered Pharmacist to contribute to a dynamic hospital pharmacy team in Fort St. John, BC.
The role involves interpreting orders, assessing prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, and ensuring accurate dispensing, compounding, labeling, and documentation. You will collaborate with physicians, patients, and the health-care team to resolve issues, participate in medication safety initiatives, and contribute to continuous quality improvement within a robust health

In accordance with the established vision and values of Northern Health, the Dispensary Pharmacist provides distribution pharmacy services by performing duties such as interpreting medication orders/prescriptions, assessing prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, and ensuring that medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed and/or compounded and labelled and that dispensing records are complete. Communicates with physicians, patients, and/or other health care team members for prescription clarification and problem resolution. Participates in the collection of data for medication use evaluation projects, implementation of dispensary-based medication safety initiatives, quality control activities, contributes to internal publications and participates in clinical drug trials in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Additionally, the pharmacist will work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to identify and resolve drug therapy problems and achieve patient care outcomes.
