Job description

As an overnight Dispatcher, you will answer incoming calls, emails, and fax requests from consumers regarding Irving Energy products and services for both residential and commercial customers. Your goal will be to engage with our residential and commercial customers and provide an excellent consumer experience to address their specific needs. Your success will depend on your proactive ability to call and email consumers, log and communicate to appropriate stakeholders, and escalate issues where appropriate. You will also work with other departments to assist in the resolution of issues or requests while taking ownership of the consumer experience. This position is an overnight position with a rotational schedule.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales leads that develop into new customers.
  • Develop understanding of all our products to provide the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Ensure accuracy when requests are logged, resolved, and escalated where appropriate.
  • Handle customer concerns and provide solutions or alternatives within time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to assist in resolving issues or requests.
  • Take ownership of the consumer experience while maintaining professionalism.
  • Perform other duties to maintain and enhance consumer relations and departmental productivity.

Your Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and maintain relationships.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Computer literacy, good organizational skills, strong analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.

Your Experience:

  • High School diploma; post-secondary education preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Contact Center experience.
