A prominent ski resort in British Columbia is seeking dispatchers for the winter season. Responsibilities include coordinating daily mountain operations, managing emergencies, and communicating with external agencies. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, First Aid certification, and knowledge of the resort area. This role is physically demanding and requires presence at the resort. Are you a multitasking people person with strong communication skills? We are looking to hire dispatchers for the upcoming winter season.
Dispatchers coordinate the daily mountain operations and logistics of the ski resort. Working within the Patrol Department, they are responsible for daily logging and communications with Lift Operations, Grooming/Slopes, Events, Lift Maintenance, and other departments. As a part of the Patrol team, the focus is on the safety of guests and staff. A vital part of this role is receiving calls from injured guests and dispatching appropriate Patrol assets to manage emergencies and incidents within resort premises while keeping the resort operational. You will also be responsible for communications with outside agencies such as BC Ambulance Service, RCMP, Sun Peaks Fire Rescue, Sun Peaks Heath Centre and Kamloops Search and Rescue.

Compensation Information: $23.10 per hour
Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting (some outdoor work); role involves skiing/snowboarding.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.
