Job description

Clean Harbors is looking for a Dispatcher to join their team in Grande Prairie AB.

This is a permanent full-time role supporting all internal and external customer requests and troubleshooting on a day-to-day basis.

This high-volume role requires exemplary customer service skills, quick decision-making, and effective communication between divisions. The role will oversee our seasonal labor pool, coordinating onboarding, training, and travel logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding seasonal employees, maintaining personnel files and system data
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions
  • Serve as a resource for labor pool employees, troubleshooting system access and online training issues
  • Maintain training records in the Learning Management System
  • Handle all employee and internal customer calls professionally
  • Provide daily activity schedules for employees
  • Manage and dispatch daily employee schedules to ensure coverage
  • Communicate daily with employees to confirm schedules and engagement
  • Arrange travel logistics, including flights and accommodations
  • Ensure compliance with hours of service and legislative standards, including electronic logs
  • Maintain PPE inventory counts
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • High-volume dispatching experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or Transportation
  • Industrial or oilfield experience preferred
  • Customer service background required
  • Proficient in Windows applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and independent decision-making skills
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Work hours may range from 8 to 12 hours per day
