Job summary

Avenir Energy Ltd. is seeking a Dispatcher to handle propane deliveries and support customer service. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coordinate drivers, manage delivery demand, and help plan workloads based on branch needs and growth.

You will use CUE and AWE systems, prepare tickets, run reports, adjust parameters, and assist in training staff. A strong background in dispatching or logistics, plus proficient MS Office skills, is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Dispatching and Logistics experience considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Professional driving or fleet dispatching experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with drivers (and brokers if applicable) to manage current and upcoming delivery demand.
  • Prepare delivery ticket selections within CUE and manage day-to-day dispatching within AWE.
  • Produce and review various reports; adjust KPIs; run out and other reports; follow-up with drivers.
  • Review accounts placed on STOP or cancelled accounts to ensure tickets are deleted.
  • Review and adjust customer delivery parameters (tank size, K factor, HWH Flags) as needed.
  • Review weekend/overnight inquiries with respect to delivery and take required action.
  • Maintain DD table within CUE and communicate to delivery team as required.
  • Assist/train staff on CUE delivery tools (delivery record setup, K-Factor, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot truck computer systems and coordinate with support teams.
  • Provide customer service support on incoming calls.
  • Be aware of Liquid Fuels Handling Code and related safety requirements.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching of propane deliveries to customers as well as providing customer service support on incoming customer lines. This position is also responsible for assisting in the planning and forecasting of workloads based on the branch demands and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate directly with drivers (and brokers if applicable) to manage current and upcoming delivery demand
  • Prepare delivery ticket selections within CUE and manage day-to-day dispatching within AWE
  • Produce and review various reports. ie: performance reports, make necessary adjustments (Kfactors), run out report, follow-up with drivers, new and cancelled accounts report, outstanding tickets or special arrangement reports, truck reports
  • Review accounts put on STOP or cancelled accounts to ensure tickets deleted
  • Review and adjust customer account delivery parameters (tank size, K factor, HWH Flags etc.),as needed
  • Review weekend and overnight customer service inquiries with respect to delivery and take required action
  • Maintain DD table within CUE and communicate to delivery team as required
  • Assist/Train other staff on CUE delivery tools (i.e. delivery record setup, K-Factor, DD Due, Delivery profile etc.)
  • Trouble-shoot truck computer system and communicate with inside / outside support when necessary
  • Provide customer service support on incoming customer calls
  • Awareness of Liquid Fuels Handling Code and other codes pertaining to the safe delivery of petroleum products
Qualifications
