Job Summary :

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible for the daily scheduling of drivers and company assets to meet client and company requirements, with a focus on maximizing both to ensure efficiency.

Note : This Job Description may not encompass the entire scope of this role, as other duties may be assigned by management.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Receive calls from customers.

Ensure operators have proper instructions to complete customer requests in a safe manner.

Assist the client and drivers when questions arise. Resolving client and driver issues in a timely manner.

Ensure all paperwork is completed and accurate before passing it on to other departments.

Follow up with Maintenance for repairs and maintenance schedules.

Coordinating with other departments daily.

Booking flights and a camp for employees.

Process onboarding for new hires.

  • Preparing reports as requested for management and head office.

Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications :

A High School Diploma or equivalent is a minimum

Post-secondary education is preferred

Minimum 5 years' experience

Above average computer; highly proficient in Microsoft Office. (i.e., SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

Must be clean-shaven.

Solid knowledge of the trucking and oil and gas industries.

Advanced customer service skills.

Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities at the same time.

Must successfully pass BME pre-employment evaluation, including drug and alcohol and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
