Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Regional Ops, the Dispatch & Logistics Planner manages daily activities of the Transport Operations Team. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling, customer service, dispatch, safety, and supporting management to ensure excellent customer experience. Accurate documentation, data entry, and communication are essential for trip planning, transportation, and delivery to customer sites. Knowledge of transportation regulations in BC and internationally is an asset.

Position: Dispatch & Logistics Planner | 10 days on / 4 days off (8am-5pm)

Salary Range: $66,000 - $75,000 (dependent on experience)

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of logistics experience in the transportation industry, preferably in a 24/7 operation. Oil & Gas industry experience is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience is considered an asset. Proficiency with electronic equipment (tablets, fleet software), MS Office, and understanding of transportation regulations (Hours of Service, commercial rules).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Manager and team to schedule loading and plan trips.
  • Update customers and stakeholders on delivery schedules and changes.
  • Maintain and support logistics planning tools for accuracy.
  • Manage driver schedules and customer requirements, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Assist with invoicing, trip reports, and documentation.
  • Support drivers in resolving operational issues.
  • Monitor service levels to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Support safety management systems and company policies.
  • Act as liaison between staff, supervisors, and customers.
  • Serve as super user of fleet management software.
  • Coordinate startup and shutdown of LNG plants based on demand forecasts.
  • Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Work efficiently in a high-paced environment, handling multiple tasks.
