Qualifications

• Registered 2nd to 3rd year Apprentice with AIT.
• Knowledge of repair management software like Mitchell/Audatex/Reynolds.

Responsibilities

Job description

About the Job:

The Auto Body Apprentice increases the efficiency of the store by completing small repairs and by assisting Licensed Technicians. Minor shop maintenance is a required part of this position.

Accountability & Responsibility of Position:

Receiving vehicle/Validation of Parts:

1. When a vehicle is assigned, review the work order line items and parts to be replaced, with the repair planner.
2. Fully dismantle the complete vehicle damaged area including the blend panel parts in order to identify hidden damage.
3. Upon completion of repair return unnecessary parts to the parts coordinator.
4. All work must be checked and verified by the Production Manager.
5. On the Computer verify the quality checklist and move the vehicle to the next stage.
6. Clean and sweep production stall. Position your next vehicle in the appropriate stall and restart process.
7. Complete minor maintenance to shop as directed by Store Manager.
8. Stock all Inventory received.

Experience/Skill requirements:

1. Knowledge of Mitchell/Audatex/Reynolds.
2. 2nd to 3rd year Apprentice (registered with AIT).
3. Work independently without close supervision.
4. Works well with others & a positive work ethic.
5. Flexible/adaptable to constant change.
6. Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
7. Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative.
8. Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
9. Motivated and follows instructions.
10. Works well under pressure.
