Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Lead Steward (utility worker 2) in a part-time role based in Canada. You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist with food prep and event setups, manage waste, and ensure HACCP compliance. The position supports kitchen staff and requires flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen, banquets and restaurant areas.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order.
• Assist kitchen staff with preparations and organization.
• Properly sort and dispose of waste and recyclables.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations (HACCP Kitchen).
• Monitor stock levels and communicate needs to supervisors.
• Assist with catering functions and events as needed. Assist banquet porters when required with set up and tear down of event spaces.
• Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
• Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training as required
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Comply with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.

The part time dishwashers responsibilities are:
