Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a dedicated kitchen cleaner and dishwasher to maintain cleanliness across all kitchen areas, equipment and utensils, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

In a 24/7 venue, you will work flexible shifts, collaborate with internal departments, and contribute to exceptional guest experiences by upholding health and safety standards and supporting ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Available to work up to 40 hours per week in varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and graveyards.
• High School Diploma required.
• Effective communication with internal departments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Organize, rinse, and load dishes and cutlery into dishwasher or wash by hand.
• Ensure loads are clean; re-wash if necessary and report issues to supervisor.
• Store clean items properly and manage garbage/recycling.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, floors, counters and workspaces.
• Assist with receiving goods and stocking shelves; prepare some food as requested.
• Communicate effectively with departments and build strong working relationships.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Chef de Cuisine, this individual is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment, and utensils as this is paramount when ensuring our patrons receive the ultimate culinary GEM experience. This individual ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

• Organizing, rinsing, spraying and loading dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washing by hand as required
• Checking completed load for cleanliness and re-washing if necessary
• Reporting any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the supervisor
• Storing all clean items in the appropriate area
• Sorting and removing garbage and recycling
• Cleaning all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces
• Assisting with the receipt of goods into the work area and stocking shelvesPreparing some food products as requested
• Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
• Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education And Qualification Requirements

• Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including evenings, graveyards and weekends as we operate 24 hours per day, seven days a week
• High School Diploma
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments through timely, effective and service oriented communication
