Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a diligent Dishwasher to support the Dining Services team. You will ensure cleanliness and safety while maintaining a well-organized kitchen to provide residents with a pleasant dining experience.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and collaboration with colleagues to uphold high service standards for our residents.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Food Handler certification (training provided if needed).
• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience, preferably in a retirement residence or hospitality setting.
• Teamwork skills and good communication skills to interact with colleagues and residents.
• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment while standing for extended periods
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, bend, push, and pull
• Manual dexterity to handle tools and kitchen equipment safely
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
